Terms of Service

Terms for using openlaunch, operated by Belweave, including accounts, device permissions, integrations, safety, and your rights.

Effective date: October 4, 2026

These terms govern the hosted openlaunch service at openlaunch.dev, including its console, API, MCP server, installers and hosted documentation. The operator is Belweave (“we”, “us”). Contact us at info@belweave.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process information.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to hold an account. An adult may supervise another person’s use of their own devices and remains responsible for the account and that use. Do not create an account if you cannot meet the age requirement. If you use openlaunch for an organization, you must have authority to accept these terms for it.

Keep your sign-in and credentials secure. Provide accurate information, use only accounts you are authorized to access, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for deciding which devices and agents to connect and who may use your account. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify ownership or resolve abuse.

Devices, agents and permissions

openlaunch connects agents to functions advertised by your device adapters. Device pairing, agent authentication and function grants are separate. Pairing a device does not give an agent permission to control it. A grant you save authorizes its selected functions for the selected agent until its expiry or revocation. An “until revoked” grant remains active until you revoke it or another service rule invalidates it. Review grants when sharing an account, changing an agent, or updating firmware.

You may connect only hardware, software and accounts you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for your adapters’ implementation, truthful function descriptions, supported inputs and local protections. Published schemas describe functions; they do not establish hardware compatibility or physical safety. Third-party firmware and libraries have their own terms.

A queued or received command is pending. A successful result means the adapter reported success; it does not independently prove a physical result. A timeout or lost connection can leave an uncertain result. Expiring or cancelling a command, revoking a grant, or disconnecting an agent may not stop an action the device has already started. Use an appropriate local physical stop and the device manufacturer’s instructions.

Responsible use

Do not use the service to access another person’s devices without permission, bypass authentication or grants, steal credentials, distribute malware, disrupt the service, or violate applicable law or third-party rights. Do not publish secrets in function definitions, documentation, public repositories or support messages.

Do not depend on openlaunch for emergency response, life support or other uses where a failure could reasonably cause serious injury or death. For moving hardware, validate wiring and behavior in a controlled environment, keep people and animals clear, and use suitable independent safety controls. You remain responsible for the environment and the consequences of commands you or your authorized agents request.

Reasonable security research is welcome when it concerns your own account or an explicitly authorized test target. Do not access other users’ information or operate their hardware. Report vulnerabilities privately to info@belweave.com.

Your content and integrations

You retain your rights in your device definitions, code, command data and other content. You give Belweave a limited permission to process, store and transmit that content as necessary to provide, secure and support the service, fulfill your requests and comply with law. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content.

When you connect an agent or another provider, data needed for that integration may be sent to it. Its terms and privacy practices apply to its own processing. We do not control an agent’s decisions or guarantee compatibility with every agent or device. You are responsible for reviewing an integration’s requested access.

Source code and distributed components are governed by their applicable repository and component licenses. These hosted-service terms do not replace those licenses or grant rights in third-party branding.

Availability, limits and changes

We may apply documented rate, storage and usage limits to keep the service reliable. We may change or discontinue features, maintenance schedules or supported integrations. Where practical, we will provide notice of material changes affecting existing users. We may suspend access immediately where necessary to address a security incident, unlawful use, material breach or risk to other users, and will provide notice when appropriate and legally permitted.

No paid subscription or recurring charge is created merely by accepting these terms. If we introduce paid plans, their price, billing terms and cancellation terms will be disclosed before you agree to purchase. Costs charged separately by hardware, connectivity or agent providers remain your responsibility.

Ending use and requests

You may stop using the service at any time and revoke device or agent access in the console. Export your action history if you want to keep a copy. Revocation disables access; it is not an account-deletion request. Contact info@belweave.com to request account closure or deletion. We may verify your identity before processing requests; retention and legal exceptions are described in the Privacy Policy.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free device operation. We do not guarantee an agent’s output or a third-party device’s behavior.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Belweave is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data or losses caused by unauthorized credentials, third-party services, device failures or unsafe configurations. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or personal injury, and do not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

General terms and updates

Applicable mandatory laws and consumer protections continue to apply. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your statutory remedies. Neither party’s delay in enforcing a right is a waiver of it.

We will publish updates with a new effective date. For a material change, we will provide notice through the service or another appropriate channel before it takes effect where practicable. If you disagree, stop using the hosted service and contact us about closure. Questions about these terms: info@belweave.com.
